Elizabeth Sundberg, MD, PhD, has joined the staff of Lafayette Regional Health Center. Part of HCA Midwest Health System—Kansas City’s largest healthcare network—Lafayette Regional Health Center is a 25-bed acute-care facility that provides quality healthcare including imaging and diagnostic services to Lexington and the surrounding communities.

Dr. Sundberg joins Lafayette Regional Health Center as an internist with a special emphasis in nephrology. She received her medical degree and doctorate in biochemistry from Oregon Health Sciences University. Dr. Sundberg is board-eligible in internal medicine and nephrology.

Dr. Sundberg will see inpatients at Lafayette Regional Health Center and outpatients at Higginsville Medical Clinic and Concordia Medical Clinic. She will provide ongoing primary care for adult patients including annual exams, health assessments and other well-visit services; diagnosis of chronic or underlying medical conditions; and medical management of diseases or health conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure, among others. “I am thrilled to be joining Lafayette Regional Health Center and look forward to giving patients the excellent care they deserve there and at the Higginsville and Concordia clinics,” says Dr. Sundberg, a member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians and the Renal Physicians Association.
